ROTARY ‘KIDS KOATZ’
PROGRAM HELD
Mark
Frumkin, left, president of Howard’s Jewelers and a
past president of the Rotary Club of Hazleton, is
shown sorting coats with Hazleton Rotary Foundation
President Lex Sloot for the Rotary Club of
Hazleton’s 2009 “Kidz Koatz” program. Approximately
400 coats were purchased for needy children from all
eight elementary/middle schools in the Hazleton Area
School District.
Working with local retailers, new coats were
purchased at discounted prices and the coats will be
distributed to children in need, confidentially
identified by their teachers. Sincere appreciation
is extended by the Rotary Club of Hazleton to all of
those who made donations to The Hazleton Rotary
Foundation and brought some warmth into a child’s
life.
